Chapter 1
Jane and Maura we're taking their relationship one step at a time. Casual dating and possible hookups occurred but Maura hoped that one day it would become more than just the Casual part. She just didn't want a relationship anymore, she wanted a life with someone and she hoped Jane would be that person. Jane and Maura sat on the couch together as they sipped some wine and listened to love songs that were on a cd that they had made together a couple days earlier. With a mix of classical and slow country, it was the perfect mix of songs. The next song came on and Maura began moving her lips to mouth the words.
Jane smiled watching her every move as she watched her sing the song, Maura looked over at a smiling Jane and she nudged her "Why you smiling like that, you look geeky" Maura managed to let escape from her mouth. Jane laughed "You can sing, and this song is amazing. Definitely a bedroom song" Jane joked as she took a sip of wine "I cant believe I'm drinking this stuff" she said looking down at the glass before back at Maura "Well I'm glad you wanted to make a sacrifice for a romantic night alone." Maura said as she stood up and took Jane's wine glass sitting it down on the coffee table. "Come here" Maura grabbed her hand and pulled Jane close.
Jane looked into Maura's eyes as she continued to analyze the words of the song. Letting Maura melt into the crevices of her arms as they danced slowly.

The song ended and Jane had finally reconnected with Maura's eyes as she leaned in and kissed her softly "Maura, I" Jane stopped herself because what she was about to say was the biggest words to ever come out of a relationship. " I love you" she finally released from her sharp lips before kissing her again "and I think we've found our song." Jane said to Maura. Maura was still smiling from when Jane had said I love you. Maura finally released the tears that were burning her eyes "I love you too Jane, and yes this is our song" Maura said as she made a smile and wiped away her tears. "I can't believe big bad Doctor is crying" Jane joked and smirked as Maura gave out a small laugh "Haha very funny Jane" she said as she gave her one last "Kiss goodnight"
