Written for SophyWald's The Impossible Love Challenge.

I was provided the pair Albus D. /Aberforth D. and the prompt "as long as you love me" and night.

I also got two reasons why Albus and Aberforth couldn't be together: incest and because it was Albus' fault that Ariana died, I used little bit of both.

They were ten and twelve years old.

The house rattled of Ariana's scream.

They sat on his bed.

Albus' room was chilly, open window, unusually cold summer.

Aberforth made an attempt to stand up, Albus grabbed him.

"You don't always have to go…"

"But she needs me…"

"Not all day and all night."

"I'm the only one who can make it stop…"

"How's life treating you, Albus?" Elphias sipped his tea.

"Just fine, thank you."

They were eleven and thirteen.

Summer before Aberforth's first year at Hogwarts.

Night, cloudy. They walked around the village.

Albus had managed to get Aberforth out of the house. Away from Ariana and their mother.

The whole village was asleep.

They could hold hands.

"Albus, are you listening to me?"

"Oh, sorry Minerva. Just got lost in thoughts there for a while."

They were fourteen and sixteen.

"After Hogwarts, will you stay here, with us?" Aberforth asked.

"As long as you love me."

"You really are the black sheep of the family, aren't you?" Gellert chuckled. "But in a good way, of course."

"Of course."

They were sixteen and eighteen.

"You killed her! You killed her! I hate you! I hate you and I will never forgive you! Never!" Aberforth tried to kick Albus. "Just because of him!"

"But I love you more!"

"That's not what I meant!"

"You always seem to ponder about important things", Elphias said. Stroke Albus' hair.

"I'm not."
