Leia: This just kind of popped into my head. I think it would make a nice one shot. It's before Kuki ever really got clued into the fact that Wally likes her.

Kuki sang along with a familiar tune while she put some of her stuffed animals back in their places.
She belted out the last lines "Why can't I breathe whenever I think about you?" the song faded and a lady began speaking from the radio.
"Hey Ladies, that was Liz Phair's song, Why Can't I." Claire's voice called. She was the DJ in the afternoons for her favorite station. "I have here a few ways to decode your man's way of saying 'I love you'." she said.
When Kuki heard this, she squealed with delight. She loved all the cool facts the radio DJs came up with on this channel. She flopped on the bed to listen better.
"First, if your man wears the clothes you buy him, even though his friends make fun of him, he loves you."
Kuki's eyes widened, and she gasped, remembering that one time...
FLASHBACKFLASHBACKFLASHBACK
The operatives were around 8 years old. Numbuh 3 had stitched bunny ears on a recently bought orange hoodie. When Wally came down, complaining that all his "cruddy sweatshirts" were in the wash, she bounced over and gave him the garment.
"Thanks, Numbuh 3." He had said, pulling the hoodie on. When Abby and Hoagie had burst out laughing, he looked up and saw the floppy ears, then looked behind him to see the cotton tail on the bottom of the hoodie, he had yelped loudly, but eventually giving up. For the rest of the day he muttered, "It's all I have anyway..." The other boys had tormented him for the longest time after that...

Shaking her head, she listened to the radio again.
"Another way men show their love is by telling you their goals. When they do this, they mean to have you with them in these future escapades." Claire continued.
Kuki tried to listen, but another memory tugged at her...
FLASHBACKFLASHBACKFLASHBACK
The operatives were 10, and Wally was talking to her Kuki while the team was mini golfing.
"A'hm gonna be a reality TV star, and live in a big mansion!" he had said proudly, "A'hm gonna have pet snakes and chase crocodiles like Steve Irwin! And A'hll have a great girlfriend who'll go with me too!"
"CooOOOOOool!" she had giggled, then it was her turn...

She smacked her forehead and focused again on Claire's words of wisdom.
"One last signal is him walking side by side with you. If he has feelings for you, he won't lag behind or speed ahead. It shows he wants to be equal with you, and at least feels somewhat comfortable with you."
Kuki sighed and remembered all those times...
FLASHBACKFLASHBACKFLASHBACK
All those different times he had walked right next to her...
At the mall and movies,
At the treehouse most of the time,
At the Moonbase sometimes,
On missions,
And all the other...

Kuki giggled to herself, then realized that it was time for the team to go out to dinner for Abby's 11th birthday. She picked up the package near the door, and thought for a minute, humming to: "Will I Ever Make it Home?" by Ingram Hill.
She turned off the radio, and left the room. Finally understanding what he had 'always wanted to tell her'.

Leia: Note the reference to Operation: UNDERCOVER. (Wally: "Numbuh 3, there's something I've always wanted to tell you").
Numbuh 3: What did he want to—(Leia smacks her mouth shut)
Leia: I'm only asking you to review if you read this, and no flames. If you don't like the couple, then you shouldn't have read it. Please read my other ones too, because one hasn't got any reviews at all!
Thanks again, people!
