"Hey Sean are these still any good?" Sue inquires walking out the Donuhue kitchen shaking a pink hued box with hearts covering all sides.
"It's September Sue, isn't a bit late for Valentine's candy?" She makes a dramatic fake gasp, he bits his lip to stop from smiling.
"Too late for Valentine's candy?! I never! Plus they're candy heart, these have always been my favorite. And at my house any candy is gone within minutes.'
"Axl?" Sean breaks in with his assumption.
'No actually my mom. But Axl is pretty bad too I guess. He's why at Lexie and I's place I can't keep any candies either." Sue pouts again and this time Sean is unable to control the smile.
"If I was made aware you had been denied your precious candy hearts I would have bough you a truck load. Go have that one by all means. Assuming they have in fact haven't expired." Sue examines the box on all sides.
"It's still good! Honestly I don't think that would have stopped me anyways." Sean knew that to be true. She takes a seat on the couch next to him, ripping open the container, carefully selects the pink one, reads and starts to pop into her mouth.
"Wait what does it say?"
"Oh. Um it says miss you. Here have some!" Sue gives the box a shake Sean gets the hint and opens out his hand, she gently pours out about half the mini box of candies into it. They forget about the movie left on pause and just read out loud the phases, laughing at most of them, Until there is only one green heart remaining in his hand the phase face down.
"This heart is the most important heart of all." She teases.
"Is that so?"
"Of course! Whatever it says holds our destiny. All the others were practice preparing us for this moment."
"Here's hoping for Text me!" Sean makes a fist covering sweet up. Sue smacks his hand.
"That's cheating. Now come on what does our destiny have in store for us?" He opens up his hand and before she can react picks it up with his other hand and reads the message. His heart starts to pound.
"Well?! If you got it right we're gonna buy some lottery tickets! I mean Ive never done that before, but it could be fu….' Before she can finish her sentence he has leaned over and kissed her. He pulls away after a couple seconds.
"It said kiss me."
"Yeah I figured. So I guess this means you like me?" Sue inquires nervously, she had her suspicions for awhile now but there hadn't quite been a ah-ah moment. Until right then.
"I had to follow the instructions of the all power destiny holder candy heart' He gives a jubilant laugh, when he notices the horrific look on her face he stops. 'Oh Susie-Q I'm only teasing! Of course I like you!" Just for good measure he kisses her again and she kisses him back this time.
"Candy hearts are my official favorite candy. Not just Valentine's Day but of all time. And let's be honest this is a better memory and store than a trash can." Sean bursts out laughing.
"Yeah I think so."
