Emma gently kissed her son's forehead, tears escaping her normally guarded eyes. As she stood, she felt a wave pass through her and radiate out, she watched in awe as her son woke up before her eyes. She noticed everyone was acting strange, softly she asked, "What just happened?"

Henry looked up at his mother, who was obviously confused. He smiled slightly, "I think you broke the curse!"

Emma's eyes widened in realization, she looked at Henry and smiled, "Mission Accomplished?"

Henry shook his head, smiling, "No, now we need to find your parents!"

Emma stood rigidly as she listened to Mary Margeret and David, no, her 'parents' talk to group of people, who she guessed were long time friends.

"Sorry Red, but I need to find my daughter," Snow said softly, talking to Ruby. Ruby nodded, understanding, she gave her best friend a hug first.

Emma felt herself walk out from her hiding spot, "So it's true?" the words tumbled out of her mouth, before she could stop them.

Emma heard a bang ring out behind her, she felt a bullet pierce the small of her back, she collapsed on the floor, the feeling in her legs gone. She saw Mary Margeret running towards her, she extended her hand towards her mother, choking out the words, " Take care of Henry," before succumbing to darkness. As quick as she left the world, she felt herself get pulled back in, by a smack on the face, "Ow!" she cried, putting a hand to her face. She waited for her vision to clear, she was in a hospital, and Mary Margeret, no Snow White, was in front of her, fear plastered on her face. "You're awake!" Snow cried, hugging her daughter. Tears streaming down her face.

Emma pulled back, "I was only down for a second?" Emma looked at her parent's sad faces, "How long was I down?" She looked to both of her parents, "David? Mare?" she took on a demanding tone, "I deserve to know, so tell me!"

Snow held her daughter's hand, "5 months, but your heart stopped 30 minutes ago, we thought we lost you," a single tear slid down Snow's face.

Emma tugged her hand from her mother's and looked away. " Five months? I-Is there anything else I need to know?" she whispered, her voice wavering.

David answered, " You lost the use of your legs-"

"I'm a cripple?!" Emma screamed, looking at her parents with hatred, "How? How could a gunshot wound make me wheelchair-bound?" she asked, looking down at her hands.

Snow put her hand on top of Emma's as David left to go get Dr. Whale. "Emma, I'm sorry this happened, we've locked up Regina so this will never happen again," she whispered, tears slipping down her face at her daughter's despair.

Just then Dr. Whale entered the room, followed by David. "Okay Emma, I need to give you a check up right now, but you will be staying in the hospital for a few days until I'm completely sure nothing is wrong."

Emma turned on him, " Nothing is wrong?! Something is wrong! I'm professor X! Soon people will be calling me professor S for savior!" she said in a rage. Everyone was taken aback, so she continued, " How am I going to be sheriff? Oh no! A criminal, but look! There's our sheriff! Traveling at 3 miles an hour in a wheelchair." She glared at Whale, waiting for an answer.

Whale seemed at a loss for words, "U-U-Uh," he stuttered, he shook his head, "Emma, your father will be taking your place as sheriff, as for another job, I'm sure you'll find a fitting work environment, after you're healed."
