"Okay Kuki, this is the one. I think this is the house for us." Wally said as he hugged Kuki's stomach with gentle pressure, keeping her blindfolded in the middle of the small, cozy home.
"Are you sure? We're gonna get married soon and if I can't trust you with taste in homes- than what can I trust you with?" Kuki said jokingly in a cute manner.
"You can trust me with your future, your life," Wally said while turning her around to face him, "and with your heart." He finished his sentence off with soft, gentle kiss.
"Hm…have a loving husband with an ugly house or a terrible husband and a beautiful house. Which do you think is the best choice?" Kuki asked.
"Hm…how about- neither!" He brought her closer to him and started to tickle her slim stomach, causing her to giggle- sounding liking chiming bells to his ears.
"Heh heh heh, okay! Stop it! I wanna see the house now, please?!!!" Kuki chimed like a little child.
"Okay, okay…one…two…three…" He took off her blindfold only to reconnect his emerald eyes with star-like sparkle in her amethyst orbs. She gazed from his eyes to the brick fireplace that stood on the right of them. The living room was painted a soft, Lemon Yellow. The floors were dark oak that were so smooth- they reflected your complexion. The room was spacious and cozy, warm and bright by the sunlight shining through the windows.
Wally continued with the tour throughout the house, they came to a lemon yellow kitchen with apples plastered on the backsplash and white cabinets and utilities. They then continued on to come across two bedrooms and a semi-large master bedroom. They came across one bathroom and the master bathroom. The regular bathroom was painted a bright, pear green while the master bathroom was a romantic, red color. As they continued down the hallway they came to a dining room that was a few shades lighter than the master bathrooms red.
They then went on through the rectangular doorway and came into the living room again.
"So what do you think?" Wally asked while gripping his hands softly on the arch of her lower back.
"I love it!" She exclaimed, "Except for one thing…" Kuki smiled softly in the corner of her jaw.
"Whats that?" Wally said letting go of her. "I saw this house and thought it would be the starter house you dreamed of!" Wally said starting to pace around the room.
"It's nothing major, Wally." Kuki said, now her turn to encircle her arm around his stomach, placing her head on back.
"What is it though?" Wally said, breaking out of her grip.
"It's the front door." She replied, cutesy.
"What about the front door?" He faced the door to see that it was a plain white door- he then got his answer. "So what do you want to do about it?" He asked, interested- putting Kuki into an embrace again.
"I want to paint it, silly." Kuki chuckled.
"But what color, that's the question." Wally said while smiling. "Well, the house outside is white, so we can basically paint the door any color you want," finishing his reply with a kiss on her forehead.
"Red, bright red." Kuki said gazing into Wally's emerald orbs.
"Okay…but why red?" Wally said, laying his head on top of hers.
"Because, no one has a red door. If anyone was ever lost in the neighborhood looking for our house, all we'll have to say is look for the house with the red door."
"Heh, I like your logic." Wally chuckled.
Yeah, this ficlet has no real plot, I just thought it would be cute. Though I have to admit that it turned out better than I thought. It was partially inspire by my cousin who claimed that when she got married, she was going to paint the door red so you know that it's her house. She did and I found her house easily when visiting her. Hope you liked it, review maybe?
Yours truly,
Kenge
