This was a story written for a very dear friend of mine, please enjoy the short story. ^.^
A simple love story used to be a prince and princess, but this is all but simple. A mouse and a walking mermaid are not a everyday couple.
Ariel was walking towards an old house that she knew belonged to Mickey Mouse in ToonsVille. She knew that as she walked towards it, the seafoam in her stomach flowed wilder. Well, that's what it felt like.
Mickey was feeling the mouse wheels run wild in his gut as he saw his red headed beauty walk towards his house. Pluto's tail wagged at the door ready for her to knock so he could pounce on her and lick her face off.
"What if he doesn't want to see me? What if Minnie is over trying to kiss him again or be with him?" Ariel asked aloud. The door opened and there was Mickey, he had seen her hesitate with worry.
"She's not here love," he told her. Ariel's red hair flowed behind her as she tried to collect herself.
"Promise?" Eric had broken that promise long ago when Minnie was kissing him on his wedding day to Ariel. Mickey had been the one to hold her in her white dress and just let her cry.
"I promise that Minnie isn't here sweetheart. It's just you and me tonight." He looked at her sparkely, dark blue, knee length dress that had a small slit. "You're beautiful Ariel."
"Thank you Mickey, you don't look half bad yourself," she said to the mouse of her dreams that was in a tux.
He took her arm and they went to the House of Mouse for a romantic dinner and some old cartoons they loved dearly. Before they went in, Mickey looked over at Ariel and said, "I love you Ariel."
"I love you too Mickey," he took her inside and onto the large stage. There, he knelt and pulled out a ring.
"Ariel, my dear," the crowd started to tear up as well as Ariel. "I love you with all my heart and soul. You're amazing and I want to wake up to that everyday for the rest of my life. Please, will you do the honor of becoming my wife?" For a moment, Ariel almost stopped breathing then leaped into the mouse's arms.
"I will!" She stated loudly and when they stopped hugging, Mickey pulled her into a deep kiss filled with all of his love towards her. The whole crowed cheered and the two looked over and saw Minnie crying over him.
"Hey, she doesn't matter now. It's just you and me. Forever and always," Mickey told her.
"Always always," she replied to him.
"I love you."
"I love you too Mickey."
