A cool breeze sweeps across the waves of the sea, the water splashing up against the wood of the ship. I close my eyes as I inhale the salty air that the sea provides, my mind wondering off to a place, I would rather be.

I can imagine her standing on the beach, waiting for me to return to her one day. Her flawless sun-kissed hair blowing in the gentle breeze, her sun tanned skin glistening in the graceful sunshine. Waiting for us to be reunited once again as husband and wife.

No matter how long or how far we are parted, we will never be parted in our hearts. My hearts yearns to be with her again, but I know that I will not be parted from her forever. We will be together again. I think of her of every moment of the day, she never leaves my thoughts for very long.

I open my eyes as another cool breeze sweeps across the sea. A single tear falls from my eye as I remember all the good times my beloved wife and I shared when we were only children, without a care in the world.

I loved Elizabeth from the first time I laid eyes on her, to now. I couldn't love any other women as much as I love my Elizabeth. Even though our time together as husband and wife was short we made that one-day unforgettable. I will never forget that one-day we shared together before I left to do my duty on the Dutchman, it will stay with me for eternity.

I begin to walk to my cabin, but as I did I see my father look at me from the wheel, I give him a smile as I continue my way to my cabin. When I get there I walk in and lie down onto my bed. Still remembering my dear wife, I close my eyes ready for my dreams of Elizabeth and me when we are together again.

My dreams are filled with happy, joyful proceedings. Ones, of us having a true family, our children running around playing amongst themselves and ones, with only us, cradling one another in each other's arms, with the thought of never leaving each other again, for any reason. Our dreams will have finally come true after ten years of having to wait. Being there, knowing that she and our children are safe, now that is something I wouldn't mind doing forever.
