Reflection
The lake on the Uchiha Estate was considered by the clan a peaceful place to think. Today however, it was empty of any Uchiha. The only person occupying the wooden dock, was a blonde, blue-eyed boy, maybe eight years of age, clutching a rock in his fist.
Uzumaki Naruto, known by many as the 'demon child', often snuck onto the Uchiha estate at night when it was empty. Of course, after the massacre it was nearly always empty, but the blonde still remained extremely cautious entering the land. He had pretty much memorized when the sole Uchiha left and entered the estate. He had two hours left until Sasuke would return.
Of course, he was tresspassing, entering the estate without permission, but he had run onto the property once by accident hiding from a mob of drunken villagers, and much to his surprise none of them had thought to look in the Uchiha's territory. So here he came, if only to have a moment's peace.
His sapphire blue eyes, icy from the lack of kindness one deserved as a child, stared at his reflection. The blonde hair, the blue eyes, the perfect, sun kissed tan. He looked almost like...
'That bastard,' Uzumaki thought. His fist, still gripping the stone, had begun squeezing until his knuckles had turned white. Almost mechanically, Naruto raised his hand over the water, and dropped the stone, right onto the forehead of his reflection. His sapphire eyes became mesmerized by the ever expanding ripples. The boy watched carefully as the ripples and the reflection shifted forming a new, but also the same, face in the water. Uzumaki's lonely expression was replaced by one of rage when he saw who it was.
Yondaime Hokage, savior of Konohagakure.
Naruto clenched his fists hard, digging his fingernails into his palms as his father - and object of hatred - stared back up at him, smiling kindly. Poor Naruto didn't see it this way, however.
"Bastard..." the whisper could barely be heard, even by Naruto himself.
The Yondaime just kept smiling, deaf to the boy's word and blind to his rage. Naruto growled.
"STOP LAUGHING AT ME!"
Without thinking Naruto launched himself into the lake, with the intent of murdering his reflection. As he sank into the depths of the lake, darkness swallowed him, forcing painful memories to run through his head.
Demon!
'How could you?'
Monster!
'How could you?'
Stay away from my children!
'Am I nothing to you?'
Why won't you die?
'Just a sacrifice?'
I swear I'll kill you!
'Do I really not matter to you... father?'
Die!
Suddenly the cold water was replaced by fire. The cold was gone, but so was any other feeling; fear, hunger, fatigue, sorrow, they had all ben erased, until the only thing left was hatred.
'I swear I'll kill you... Maybe not your body, it's too late for that, but I'll kill- no, DESTROY your soul, and I'll do that be exterminating your precious village. Everything you worked to protect... everything you sacrificed me for... I'll erase it from exsistance!'
As Naruto continued to fall, a dark laughter could be heard, echoing from somewhere deep inside his mind.
'I will take my revenge. And I will let nothing stand in my way.'
