"I'm sorry, Inuyasha," Kagome said with sadness in her voice

"Why are you leaving?" Inuyasha asked.

"It's obvious you don't want me here," Kagome replied.

"Kagome, I…I," Inuyasha started. But it was too late Kagome was already running away.

My eyes are open wide

By the way I made it through the day

I watch the world outside

By the way I'm leaving out today

He watched as she left him. He couldn't believe it. Or could he? She always talked about how he always loved Kikyo and never her. But this time he guessed he hurt her too much. He should have told her he loved her.

I just saw Haley's comet, she waved

Said, "Why are you always running in place?"

Even the man in the moon disappears

Somewhere in this stratosphere

Kagome was running as far as she could. She couldn't take it anymore. Inuyasha always compared her to Kikyo. She hated it. He knew she loved him and yet he kept hurting her. But she had enough. She was going to find Kikyo and give her soul back.

Tell my mother tell my father I've done the best I can

To make them realize this is my life, I hope they understand

I'm not angry, I'm just saying

Sometimes good-bye is the second chance

Meanwhile Inuyasha and the others were sitting around crying for Kagome. The same thought echoed through their head. 'How could she leave us? Doesn't she know we need her'

Please don't cry one tear for me

I'm not afraid of what I have to say

This is my one and only voice so listen close

It's only for today.

Kagome came to the clearing where she was to meet Kikyo. Kikyo hadn't shown up yet so Kagome sat against the nearest tree. Kikyo finally came with her soul collectors.

"Are you ready?" Kikyo asked emotionless

"Yes, Kikyo," Kagome replied with a single tear on her face. Kikyo took out her dagger and stabbed Kagome in the heart. The souls came back to Kikyo and she left to find Inuyasha.
