Author's Note: Sorry if this is horrible. This is my first Narnia fanfic and I just wrote it now off the top of my head. Please read and review! Hope you like it.

"Do try to keep up Susan!" Shouted Edmund from atop his horse Phillip.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" She called back, obviously annoyed by her younger brother's demands.

"If we go any slower we'll never catch that stag."

"Oh, who really cares anyways?"

"I care." Stated Peter as he appeared from behind the trees.

The Pevensies had been on a quest to catch the legendary White Stag. It was said that if one caught it the stag could grant any wish.

Lucy tucked some of her long, brown hair behind her ear and sighed.

"Oh, it's no use. That stag is long gone now."

"I refuse to believe that." Edmund teased and started off again into the forest followed by Peter.

"We better go catch up with them." Lucy said.

Susan groaned, but they both galloped off after their brothers.

"There you are!" Susan shouted when they'd caught up to them.

"Shh!" Peter whispered and put a finger to his lips. Then she saw what there was to be so quiet about.

The Pevensies stood staring out from the bushes in wonder. Before them was the White Stag. It stood quietly, standing out with it's white pureness in the greens and browns of the forest. The Stag pawed at the ground a few times and huffed loudly, touching it's spidery white antlers to the ground.

Crack! The Stag looked up, startled, then darted away between the trees again.

Susan, Peter, and Edmund all turned to look at their younger sister in exasperation.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" She moaned and picked her foot up off the ground. "How was I to know that stick would make such a loud noise when I stepped on it?"

Peter began to laugh and it became contagious. Soon all four of them were laughing hysterically.

After the laughter had worn off, the kids climbed back upon their horses and started off again. It wasn't five minutes until Edmund wanted to stop.

"I'm hungry. Can't we eat now and go after the Stag later? I mean, what's the rush?" He complained.

The others gave in and they set up the picnic food they'd packed in a basket before they'd left. They found a nice spot next to a babbling brook and smoothed out a beautiful, deep, purple blanket with golden trim to sit upon.

The brothers and sisters feasted on turkey legs and wine and quite enjoyed themselves, laughing and talking about their search for the White Stag. They'd been searching since early that morning and it seemed that every time they got close to catching it something unfortunate happened to ruin their plans.

After they ate they were so tired they didn't even want to pack up.

"So much for catching that Stag." Lucy mumbled.

"Maybe we weren't meant to catch it." Susan reasoned and Edmund agreed.

"Well, I guess you all are right. I mean, we don't need that wish do we? I know I don't. I've got everything I need right here in Narnia."
