Dan Vs. the Coin Thief
It was a quiet day at the Casa Paradiso. Mr. Mumbles slept on Dan´s bed until something, or better someone, disturbed the peace.
„CHRIS! I was counting on you! You are nothing but a giant failure! When you get this message, you should feel ashamed of your self! This is Dan by the way. And call me back!"
Dan stopped yelling at his phone and started talking to himself.
„Damn it! Thanks to Chris I had to walk all the way from Burgerphile back home! If this continues I will write him on my list!"
He opened the door of his apartment and his mood changed immediately.
"Hello Mr. Mumbles, I´m home."
He put the bag with his food and his change on the kitchen counter and went to his bet, where Mr. Mumbles waited for him.
"Oh yes, you´re such a good kitty. Sometimes I wish Chris could be at least half as loyal as you are."
After Dan finished petting his cat, he went to the bathroom.
"Just wait a minute, we´ll eat as soon as I´m back."
A few minutes later, the bathroom door opened and Dan headed straight towards the kitchen counter, where Mr. Mumbles was trying to open the bag from Burgerphile.
"Mr. Mumbles, where you so hungry that you couldn´t wait longer? Don´t worry, you´ll get your food now. I had to yell at the cashier for at least 5 minutes, until he finally put some sardines on your burger."
He gave to burger his cat, who started to eat the sardines and ignored the rest of it.
"Now let me put the change in my wallet and ..."
He looked at the counter, where he put his change, but there was nothing left. He looked under the bag, but he found nothing.
WHAT?! Where has my change gone? Whoever took my money, come out and I´ll beat you up! Mr. Mumbles, have you seen the thief?"
"Meow." She was still busy with her food.
"Oh sorry. I didn´t want to interrupt you. I´m trying to find out, who stole my money. Maybe it just fell on the floor."
Dan kneed on the floor started to search until he hit his head.
"Ouch!"
He grabbed the counter in order to get up on his feet, but he accidentally squashed his burger.
"Wonderful! Now I have neither money nor my lunch!"
He put his fists in the air and yelled:"COIN THIEF!"
