Teddy wrung his hands as he stood in front of Draco, feeling very much unlike himself. What had happened to his normal bubbly attitude? He couldn't help being nervous, though, as they stood in the empty kitchen staring at each other.
Well, Teddy was staring.
"What did you need to talk to me about, kid?"
The graduation party on the lawn was in full swing, which didn't help to calm the nerves twisting his stomach. He grasped the drifting threads of his ex-Hufflepuff determination and darted forward to kiss his uncle's cheek.
Draco seemed stunned at the sudden assault when Teddy backed away a bit. His heart was beating so fast it felt as though his ribs wouldn't be able to contain it for much longer. "Severus has always been overprotective, you know that." Teddy drew back to deliver a mischievous smile.
"Do I need to be protected from you?" Teddy asked coyly and a hungry look came into Draco's eyes. It made his heart jolt in his chest when he heard Draco growl.
"I don't know... Do you feel threatened, Teddy?"
"Bloody hell," Teddy whimpered before lunging for another of taste of those perfect kisses.
