One prophecy and it's all over, yet why is everyone so calm? It's as if they're mesmerized, but they're not. I can't understand; I wouldn't care for their destruction if they weren't my family, my people. Does that make me selfish… or just human, but I'm not human, I've never even met a human. I'm still confused as to why I must be the one to end their lives. Sure I've known about this for over thirteen years, but I've always tried to avoid the subject… ever since my birth. Maybe I'm looking too much into it, maybe there's a way out…Thump!

"Ouch, remind me not to daydream in the middle of meditation .Oh great, now I'm talking to myself, I must really be loosing it." I thought bitterly.

"Raven come help. Zinthos is downstairs and he needs your assistance." My mother said gently.

"Okay mother, I'll be right there." I replied reassuringly, I could hear her footsteps fade as she left my door.

What about my mother, will she be turned into stone as well? Will I also be the cause of her death? I was too tangled in my own thoughts to notice the hot as wax tears making their way down my cheeks.

I can't loose her; she's all that's left of my family. I would rather die then loose her.

By now I was on my knees pleading for her safety in my mind. Cree--k! My head snapped up at the sound of my door slowly opening.

"Raven, what's wrong I needed your help with some mats, are you okay oh dear you're crying did something happen." I gasped at the sight of zinthos I quickly wiped up my tears in embarrassment.

"Nothings wrong I was just meditating." I replied trying to hide the lying tone that seeped through my words.

"I may be a servant but I'm no fool are you okay you never cry." He answered sympathetically.

"I'm sorry master I know I must control my emotions other wise my powers while go crazy." I looked away in utter shame.

"No raven its okay your right you should control your emotions but not bottle them up because sooner or later they will seep out probably through your powers." he said reassuringly.

I faced him and smiled "thanks." his face was shocked and stunned when a smirk slapped on his face,

"raven didn't I tell you not to call me master."

I sighed in contemplation "but you are"

he snarled "no I'm your servant just because I assist you with your powers does not make me your master." I turned around and mumbled "assisting me with my powers is the job of a master not a servant.

Zinthos, my guardian my servant my master and my friend...
