Her very first childhood hope of being saved from a self-automated space suit had come from Nixon, and she wasn't going to let anything that he had ever done in his career change her opinion of him. He had still been the most powerful man on the planet when she had needed him, and he had led the Doctor to her to allow her escape from the suit. Richard Milhouse Nixon, even though some people argued that he was one of the worst presidents in American history, was River's very first hero.
