And here it is, my lovely readers! The long awaited part three of Learning By Ear!

I'll be writing these as the songs inspire me. This one is due to that wonderful red-head Ed Sheeran!

So, without further ado, sit back and enjoy!

Love always,

Natasha's ears picked up on the tune as she neared Clint's room in the tower. She knew he was learning more and more songs for Laura, and she didn't mind it at all. A grin flashed across her face when he failed to reach a particularly high note, opening the door in time to hear him swear.

"Need a little help with that," she stated, the door closing behind her. He chuckled and met her gaze.

"Yeah, actually," he answered. "No matter how hard I try, I don't quite have the voice for this song. And I won't walk away from it, cause it's Laura and I to a tee." He sighed and started the song up again. "But maybe you can do the chorus, and I can handle the verses. I know you know the song, Nat. You've been singing it since it came out." She laughed and sat at the foot of the bed.

"Maybe once you hear me sing it, you can imagine Laura's voice instead of mine," she pointed out. "Turn it into a duo with your wife." A fond expression crossed his face as he started the song up again. She listened, shocked and amused at his choice of song.

"Loving can hurt, loving can hurt sometimes, but it's the only thing that I know."

As long as she had known him, Clint had been a kind, gentle soul. He was a devoted husband and father, and the most loving person when he wasn't on the job. Laura was the luckiest woman alive to be able to call Clint her husband.

"When it gets hard, You know it can get hard sometimes, it is the only thing that makes us feel alive."

She remembered the pain in his voice the first time they had fought. He was certain that he had lost her forever, and had almost driven himself to a panic attack before finally calling Natasha. The red-head had talked him down enough to where he could call Laura and talk to her without loosing his head again. A month later, he had proposed, and Natasha could only think that it had taken him long enough.

"We keep this love in a photograph, we make these memories for ourselves, where our eyes are never closing, hearts are never broken, time's forever frozen and still."

She took a deep breath. She rarely sang, but if it meant helping Clint, she would do it. She would do anything for the man who had saved her life, in so many ways. He had become her best friend and confidant, as well as Laura, and as much as she felt attracted to him, she could never betray Laura's trust.

"So you can fit me, inside the pocket of your ripped jeans, holding me close until our eyes meet, you won't ever be alone, wait for me to come home."

His smile grew, and she knew he was imagining his wife singing instead of Natasha. He strummed a few more chords before setting the guitar aside.

"Thanks, Nat," he murmured. "I would have never figured out the chorus without your help." She smiled and stood from the bed.

"Always happy to help."
