How the Moon Got its Light

Ever see the moon at night? See how it shines real bright? Well there is a tale behind its glow, and this is how it goes.

One night, long ago the moon was trying to rest. But the poor moon couldn't rest when he felt so low. The sun had so many friends, and always had fun. With this at mind, the dark pale moon came out at noon. Seeking the warmth of the sun. Sad and lonely from no friends and no fun. The sun felt bad for the poor moon. Everyone was out to see the sun at noon.

"Hey!" The sun said to the sad, sad moon. "I feel bad for you moon," the sun protested. "I have thought of an idea." The sun suggested.

The sun and the moon talked, till finally the moon retreated back to bed. That night the sun shined some of its light on the moon. Now people could enjoy the moonlight as they walked during the night. The moon smiled brightly up ahead. He was no longer lonely and with his shift over, he went back to bed.

That is the story of how the moon got its light. The moon still visits his friend, the sun. Sometimes, if you're lucky, you can see the sun and the moon with each other at noon.
