Just Another Journey
Chapter 1
She ran through the trees, running from her worst enemy imaginable. She ran harder, faster, hoping she would not be caught by the horrid pig-like beast that was chasing her. She was coming close to a drop off that was nearly 100 feet high, but on the other side was Earth that she could land on. As she ran closer and closer to the cliff, she knew she could not stop. She then took off on the last inch of Earth and seemed to fly, but only for a split second until she came crashing down back into the harsh feeling of reality.
The beast that had been chasing her, did not have the strength to make the jump had fallen. He fell right into the violent rushing waters of the River of Blood. She took in a deep sigh of relief that she had made it out alive, and not been captured and eaten by this beast. She took up her sword, arrows, and her bow and walked on into the dangers ahead.
It was in the forest of the Wild Roses that this young girl, Rena, was traveling. Many dangers lurked within this forest. Dangers that no man, elf, wizard, or even king would dare to speak off. Birds flew and chirped within the trees, but at the same time evil lurked in these trees, waiting for the opportune point of ambush.
Rena standing at about 5'9" and weighing about 140 pounds had eyes the color of the bright, blue, shinning skies. Her hair was long and the color of the very Earth that she stood on. She sat down to rest, but could not do this for long, there was more evil in the forest, more now than ever before.
She made herself a small fire and shelter to keep from being seen by any near lingering evil that might be watching, planning its ambush. She took out her bow and an arrow, to hopefully catch some food for her meal. A twig snapped maybe about 20 feet from her, and out hopped a small rabbit, just waiting to be shot. Rena drew back her bow, and let the arrow fly. The arrow hit the rabbit right through the heart, so that it made no sound whatsoever. She then quickly got up and ran over to what was going to be her very scrumptious meal. She picked up the small rabbit and brought it back over to her campfire, to roast it over her open fire.
The sun was setting and she new she must get moving, so that she could be hidden under the cover of darkness. She finished up her meal, and packed her things. She had at least 5 days ahead of her to reach the city of Koliam.
