Silent Witness
Jack found them on a grassy hill overlooking the festival. The Doctor's "superior" Time Lord stamina had apparently given out, and he slept peacefully next to Rose. Only their hands touched, the Doctor's larger one wrapped around Rose's delicate fingers.
It was more intimate than anything Jack had done over the past few hours.
He yearned to lie with them and rest his hand over theirs. But that might wake them, sending the Doctor back behind his shield of black leather and hurting Rose.
He settled for committing the sweet scene to memory and quietly left them to their rest.
