Raw, relentless, never-ending energy
apparently only gets you so far in life
but this burning flame, a bright blaze of purity and intensity and passion,
cannot be extinguished;
never backing down, never tiring, hasn't failed Hinata
and he's got enough confidence stored away
to know he'll keep on pushing forward
even during the darkest hours.
Is he naive for remaining so optimistic?
Hinata doesn't grapple with the answer
for very long because there's too much
in store for his future,
and optimism suits him better than cynicism.
Reality will surely hit him,
or that's what's supposed to happen,
and when the "glorious" truth that adults whisper about,
the surreptitious duality of real life
versus the surreality of volleyball, where time stops,
and he will deal with grappling
when answers arrive and make sense.
Until then, Hinata will fly above the net
into the clouds with Karasuno following behind
and the wind beneath his wings will be
all that he'd need
to sustain him.
