The lift moved up and came to a quick halt as it reached the pilot's platform.

"Eep. Man, that's a quick stop." Selphie steadied herself and skipped onto the main platform right before the lift fell back down.

"Hey Nida!" The young man, while still holding the steering pole, turned around to look at his visitor.

"Hi Selphie. What's up?"

"Oh, nothing. What, I need a reason to come up here and visit with my fellow Squad B member? And old classmate too!" Selphie walked next to him and peered over his shoulder.

"Never. Just wanted to make sure you didn't come on business. Its been a long day and I just wanted to kinda relax. I wanted to check make sure you weren't delivering mission orders." He smiled as she walked in front of him.

"Oh, okay. So how are you?"

"Good... well, except for one thing that's kinda bothering me..."

Selphie grew silent and stared down at the floor.

"What happened at Trabia?"

"Yeah..." Nida looked at her as she adjusted her boots, a little nervous habit of hers.

"I was wondering if... if it was getting to you too..."

"Of course, I mean, just because I left there a two years ago doesn't mean I forgot my first home. I'm just glad that almost everyone came out okay..."

"Yeah... things could have been a lot worse." Selphie looked at Nida and studied his face.

"What?"

"When you left... did you miss me? Did you think about us?"

"Of course I did. At first I was really homesick. But the people here were all really nice and I just ended up fitting in. I never forgot any of you. And I especially never forgot bubbly Selphie."

Selphie smiled and perked up.

"I knew you never forgot me!" She walked over and hugged him, and he momentarily let go of the pole to return the embrace.

"Course not." She looked as he returned to steering the Garden. "Is that hard?"

"This? Not really, not once you know what all the important things are for." Nida watched as Selphie made an 'O' with her mouth and nodded. "Do you wanna learn how to do this?"

"Me?"

"Sure. Garden could always use another pilot, in case anything ever happened to me."

"Yeah!" Selphie walked up to him.

"Okay, step in front of me, good. Hold the pole a little like a lever."

"How do I make it go forward?" She asked. The Garden had slowed to a stop ever since she had taken over.

"Just push forward." When he saw she was having some trouble, he helped by pushing from one side. The Garden lurched forward.

"Oops...." She said. She started to move back.

"Its okay. Don't worry. You'll never learn if you're afraid to try." Selphie looked back and Nida and smiled at him.

"Alright. So how would I handle takeoffs and landings?"

"Thats a little more complicate..."

The lift suddenly came back up with Xu, Quistis, and Squall aboard.

"Nida, we have to go search for a stone house and lighthouse on the Centra Coast right away."
Squall said as Quistis and Xu took their positions beside Nida.

"Yes Commander." Nida stepped in front of Selphie. Suddenly all business. Selphie looked at him sadly.

"Don't worry. We'll continue later, right?" Nida whispered to her. She shot him a quick smile.

"Definitely. Bye!" She ran to the lift and went down.
