It took me way too long to notice what Guest asked from me in a review. If I had noticed it when he/she first posted it, I would have done this weeks ago. Maybe.

Chapter one:

Aivenna clung to her cyclance with both hands as she walked down a lonely dirt road. She overheard everything there was to hear; now she had to find her mother or sister, whoever that was she heard Drabe and Intress talking about. She almost screamed when a drop of water tapped her on the shoulder, mistaking it for an enemy only to feel silly after turning around and seeing no one there. She was tempted to go back home to her adoptive mother, Intress, and beg for forgiveness, knowing Intress must be worried sick about her by now.

Little did she know, Intress thought Aivenna was with Drabe, training to be a warrior. Drabe thought Aivenna and Intress were together doing girl stuff. At the moment, Drabe was heading in the other direction. He wouldn't be back for a few days. Intress would wake up the next morning thinking Drabe had decided to stay an extra day and the two had left early that morning to go train in the woods. What other explanation would there be? Aivenna would never run away from home. So much for that idea.

In seconds a storm kicked up, fast winds ruining Aivenna's hair the best it could. The cold rain was unbearable, but she was going to be a warrior one day, so she had to get used to it eventually. By the time the storm calmed down, Aivenna was getting tired. Just because Intress raised her doesn't mean she doesn't have limits, and Drabe insisted on pushing those limits lately.

She continued walking and came to a split in the road. She looked both ways, not knowing where she was or what she would find down either road. She started down the left path, but heard a scream from the right. Somebody needed help, and as an Overworlder, she could not let anybody down. Maybe this was her chance to put her skills to the test. Little did she know, it was also her chance to get a few questions answered.
