When I was little my parents taught me, that good things happen to good people. If I'm a good person, why did I just lose the most important thing in my entire life? Well I'm going ahead of myself. My name is Lily Evans. 21 years old. Born and raised in England, but I live in the United States. I have ginger hair and green eyes. This is the story of when I fell in love with the boy across the street.

His name was Severus. Severus Snape. He had black hair and brown eyes. He was very sweet but he also had his dark side. We've been friends for life, since we were 9. It's always been the two of us.

Eventually, we grew up. We were 15. We started fighting a lot, for nothing. One day in the middle of an argument, he kissed me. I was surprised, shocked. I was about to say something but he ran away. I gave his space and waited. Waited for him to talk first, but he didn't. We spent about 10 months without talking to each other. So I took matters into my own hands. I went to find him in the park, where we used to play when we were kids. We were face to face, I was about to say hi when I completely forgot how to speak. I let my instincts take over. One moment I was leaning forward, the next I was the one kissing him.

"I love you too." I told him.

For the first time in almost a year, I saw him smile again.

Two Years Later

Here, this right here is where it starts. One second I'm with my best friend, now boyfriend, the next I'm in my house being told that we're moving to the United States.

Apparently, my dad's job had been offered a job in America, and he had accepted. I understood it was great money, but I had to leave the thing I love the most behind. Severus.

I met him at the park the next day. When I was about to tell him the news I started crying.

"What's wrong?" he asked me. I tried to answer but I just kept crying. He put his arms around me and kissed my forehead. He cradled me in his arms until I stopped crying. Once I stopped I told him the news.

"My dad got a job offer, and accepted it." I told him.

"Isn't that supposed to be good?" he asked.

"The thing is that it's in the United States." He frowned.

"I'm moving away." I said sobbing. I could see he was also sad. "What are we going to do?" I asked.

He looked at me. "We can make it work. I promise."

"How?" I asked. "We could write letters to each other."

And we did.

Some letters contained poems, some just said 'l love you'.

One Year Later

One day I was reading the newspaper when I saw a plane crash. 100 were killed and 20 injured. The article had a list of a couple of it victims: James Potter, Mary McDonald, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Severus Snape, Lucius Malfoy, and many others. My heart stopped.

Severus Snape.

Sev.

My Sev.

I just wanted to die. Right then and there. Sev was coming for a surprise visit. When the plane crashed and killed him. I cried I until I fell asleep. For the next 5 months I wore nothing but black.

Until one day, I received his last letter. It only said one word but it was the best thing anyone had ever said to me. I started to think about everything: from the day I met him when we were 5, until I left England. I realized he would want me to be happy.

One Year Later

Up to this day I still remember everything we had. Happy and sad moments. Our first kiss. Every time we would be there for each other since we were 5 until the day he died. I will still remember his last letter, with only one word we made my 5 months of depression end, and the rest of my life bearable without him.

"Always."
