Shadow of the Night

ONE-SHOT A poem about how Kagome has to deal with Inu Yasha's death. Written in Inu Yasha's POV.

Disclaimer: I do not own Inu Yasha or any of the characters in Inu Yasha. But I'm hoping to get it for my birthday. ^_^

Shadow of the Night:

Why are you crying?

Each solemn night,

I'm always here watching,

So isn't that all right?

I try to speak to you,

But my voice is gone,

I thought I saw you die that night,

But I guess I was wrong,

You sat there,

With tears in your eyes,

It's been a year now,

So please don't cry,

I remember that day,

That we fought for our lives,

I protected you,

But I made a big sacrifice,

So now I walk slowly,

And look down at your crying form,

Remember me always,

Don't get so torn,

So remember that I'm always here,

By your side,

I will always be watching,

As a shadow of the night.

A/N: I hope you liked it. I sure did. Please review and tell me what you think. Incase you didn't get it by now, Inu Yasha was the one that died and Kagome was the one that was mourning for him. Anyway, I will be happy for any advice on my poetry. Just please don't flame me. (I don't know why you'd want to flame someone for poetry though) ok, yes, I talk too much. So I'm gonna shut up now.
