Disclaimer: Don't own Naruto or RWBY

Author's note: Hello there.

"...you're kidding me, right?" said Naruto giving the Sage the stink eye. "Why do I gotta disappear? I beat your mom you know, don't think I can't beat you! Right, Kurama?!"

Thwack.

A giant hand smacked the back of his head, sending him crashing to the ground.

"That's my father, you idiot!" The Kyuubi roared, eyeing his host with incensed anger. "Show him some respect!"

The Sage calmly stroked his beard. "Curb your violence, Kurama. His reaction to his imminent expulsion is to be expected."

Kurama flipped him off. "Get lost, father! You don't tell me what to do!" His tails spread out like a peacock's behind him. "I'm my own bijuu, for centuries now!"

Hagoromo shook his head and sighed.

"Freakin' hypocrite," Naruto muttered to himself as he sat up cross legged. He glared at the Sage, "so you wanna say that again, great gramps?"

Floating down from the ethereal rope which holds up all levitating people, Hagoromo landed on the ground, with the tip of his staff causing ripples on the smoky white floor.

He spoke to Naruto, with a hint of a smirk on his aged face.

Hagoromo said, "you, Uzumaki Naruto, are going to, as you children say these days, join the big boys now."

Naruto scowled. "That doesn't explain anythi-"

"Do you want to keep your loved ones safe?" asked the Sage with a grave face. "Because as you are, you are only an attractor for the overly curious, and dangerous. Recent events would serve as proof."

The blond's glare lost some of its heat. "I... I don't like being your plaything. Or destiny's. Find someone else... some other way."

The Sage chuckled, "you believe you know better, boy? Better than fate?"

Kurama blew air from his snout. "Yeah right. 'cause the deaths of thousands and millions can only be the work of a benevolent mastermind. Pah." The bijuu spat.

The Sage's smile grew. "Isn't it? So, what will you do about it? Because I shall inform you right now, the world's next colossal battle isn't too far off into the future. The seams of fate have already been
sewn, and you cannot escape it."

Naruto punched the ground and growled. "Bullshit! No such thing as set in stone. We didn't think we could beat your mom, but we did!"

"Would you try again?"

"What? Hell no!" Naruto's eyes widened at the thought of a rematch with the rabbit queen.

"Then know that it was pre-written, her rise, her fall, her defeat against you..." The Sage gave him a sad smile, "I should know, for I've seen the gods' work. A destiny is simply their predetermined destination. There is no escape."

Naruto stood up, his eyes steeled with determination. "How do we break out of it?"

The Sage barked out a laugh.

"Why, by filling up a celestial vacancy of course."

Naruto blinked.

"Wait, wha-"

The Sage's staff slammed into his forehead.

"Bloody gramps..." Naruto muttered as he fell backwards, his vision blurring, and his head stinging.

The last thing he saw was Kurama's jaw dropping and hearing-

"That was awesome! Do that again! Put the brat in his place!"

Naruto's eye twitched.

That darned furball...
