Author's note: Hello! this is how you do things here, right? I really wouldn't know as this is my first ever fan fiction I've written, and i made it because i felt that this certain holiday was unappreciated by the Soul Eater loving masses. (You wonderful masses, you!!) Well then, I know a lot of people use meister instead of technician, but I watched it on animefreak, so I'M saying technician. So suck that up your bendy straw.
Anyway, I had it all typed up and ready to upload when i realized I didn't have a name for the story. So i just kinda opened up the document and picked a random quote out and, well, here we are...
I know I'm wasting your time so I'll finish this now. Read, review, reuse, reduce, recycle.
Disclaimer: Now, really, if I owned Soul Eater, would I be writing a fan fiction for it? Of course not! I'd be too busy making more scenes with Excalibur. :)
"Hey Soul!"
The weapon looked up from the TV to see his technician looking at him eagerly.
"... What?"
"You know what tomorrow is, right?"
He went over a mental list of possible occasions. Birthday? No, that already passed. Easter, maybe? Too early. Valentine's Day is in February...
"Should I?"
"No-one remembers..." Maka sighed. "It's St. Patrick's Day."
"...So?"
"SO," she glared, "You better wear green. You remember what happened last year, don't you?"
Soul groaned. Black Star, self-proclaimed surpasser of God, had taken full advantage of the holiday by pinching anyone who wasn't wearing the designated color.
"He went after me the most."
"He did not."
"He did. I think I have a scar or two to prove it."
Maka flinched at the word scar. "You can get scars from pinches?"
"You can when they're from Black Star."
Maka, being unable to disagree, moved on.
"Well," she told him, "You can just wear green this time and you'll be fine. I even reminded you."
"Yeah but... you know..."
"What?"
"It clashes with my eyes... green and red..." He mumbled.
He suddenly found that his technician's face had completely blocked his view as he looked into her emerald eyes. "Does that mean that my eyes clash yours?" She asked.
Soul tried not to blush as he opened his mouth to reply when a wild blue haired Demon Scythe technician slammed though the front door and attempted to tackle Maka. Luckily (for her), she stepped out of the way and he barreled face-first into the wall.
"Happy St. Patrick's Day!! Nyahahahaha!" He laughed though a few broken teeth, with a thumbs up.
"It's tomorrow, you idiot." Soul responded casually as Tsubaki ran in.
"Omigosh! Maka-chan, I'm so sorry, is everyone-" She stopped after seeing Black star on the floor and the rather large dent in the wall.
"It's fine, Tsubaki. Thanks for dropping by. Should i go prepare some tea?"
"No, that's alright, we'll be leaving now." She told her friend as she dragged her partner out the door. "I'll see you at school tomorrow then!" She shut the door behind her and could be heard dragging Black Star down the stairs.
Soul and Maka turned back to each other to continue the conversation. "What were we talking about?"
"I can't remember."
"Neither can I. It's your turn to cook. I'm hungry."
"Ok... " She drifted off to start boiling some noodles.
---xxx--- next morning ---xxx---
As she set down the day's breakfast, Maka heard a scream erupt form the bathroom. Seconds later a half clothed, damp Soul came rushing out.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?" He pointed at his previously white hair.
"I remembered what we were talking about."
"Uh, YEAH, obviously, but THIS!?"
"How else am I supposed to keep Black Star from attacking you again?"
"YOU SWITCHED MY SHAMPOO WITH GREEN HAIR DYE!!"
"Well yeah, I got it from Liz. Happy St. Patrick's Day. Now shut up and eat, or we'll be late."
"But-"
Soul noticed the book in his partner's hand and gave up. He'd just have to wear sunglasses to school. Hey, that would be pretty cool.
