Author's notes: I've never written for TZP but I've always liked it. And this idea has been bugging me since I thought of it in passing…though it was more like in the shower, of which I am still wet from. So don't be too rough with me, I just thought this was funny.
What's in a name?
Zee and Ro were once again holed up in a cheap motel for the night, hopefully trying to cover their respective asses from the NSA. Ro wasn't too happy about making a reservation at a high end hotel only to end up at the motel 6, just in a vain attempt to confuse the NSA. But what can you do when your fugitives?
Zee had taken his usual post in a chair between the bed and the window; ever watchful and paranoid. Ro had taken a quick shower and had dropped herself on to the bed. Zee watched Ro's exhausted fall with care. He knew he was pushing the girl too far but no matter how hard he tried to get her to 'cool her circuits' she never would. Ro was more desperate to prove Zee's innocence and good intentions then he himself was.
"Hey Zee…" mumbled Ro, her face muffled by the pillow.
"What is it Ro?" Zee turned his full attention to his companion gracing her hidden face with a genial smile.
"Why would Bennett name his kid after himself?"
Zee blinked and tilting his head closer to Ro asked, "What made you think of that?"
Ro shrugged and shoved herself out from the blankets. She sat on her knees facing Zee, her hair a tangled web of blonde. "I don't know. I always wondered what made parents name their kids after themselves. It seems kind of selfish."
Zee looked thoughtful, his chin propped on his hand, a position he had taken quite a liking to after seeing "The Thinker" by Auguste Rodin. "Maybe it is something like a family name, or tradition."
"That's awfully silly. I mean I'd never want to name my kid Zee Junior." Ro huffed, though a second later her hands flew to her mouth. A gasp and blush framing her wide eyes, "you know what?" she covered her voice rising, "I think I don't care anymore, never mind and g'night Zee." Ro flung herself under the blankets and her embarrassment.
Zee on the other hand was quite amused by Ro's reaction. Though it had taken him a moment to realise the full impact of what Ro had said. He grinned lightly as he moved from the chair to the free side of the bed. Leaning down he whispered in Ro's ear, "I wouldn't want my daughter named anything other then Rosalie."
