May sat on a bench clutching her knees, desperately trying to fight the tears coming into her eyes. Then suddenly Ash walked up to her. "Are you gonna be okay?" He asked sympathetically. May looked into his auburn eyes. She nodded but tears began to form in her eyes. Without warning she began to cry. "May…" Ash uttered under his breath. In order to comfort her he wrapped his strong arms around her. May felt Ash's warm body around her and a small smile came to her face. Still in tears she hugged him back.

"I'll miss you, May." Ash said with a compassionate smile. "Good luck in Johto."
"Pika." Pikachu added. May watched as Ash began to walk down the path. "Ash, wait." She called tears forming in her sapphire eyes.

Ash held May close to him. Tears began to form in his eyes as well. "I won't ever leave you. I promise." He replied. May continues to hold on tightly to Ash, sobbing endlessly. "I'll be in your heart…"

"I can't stand to be without you, either." Ash responded embracing May into a tight hug. "Ash, y-you mean the world to me." May exclaimed, tears still in her eyes. A firm hands on his cheek. Ash smiled contently and nodded considerately.
