"Hey, Jude!" Mum calls me from behind. No doubt she's spotted another inflatable dolphin that I just have to have, because I've obviously never seen one before. Yeah, I roll with sarcasm, just before you get confused.
"What?"
"Look at that water slide!" I roll my eyes, but turn where she's pointing just to humour her. And my jaw positively hits the floor. Oh, my goodness, you have never seen a slide like it in your whole life. As I see it, I know that I just have to go on it. It stretches for miles, going through all little buildings. I turn back to Mum.
"See you at the end!" Mum nods, and I sprint away towards the start of it. I climb to the top of the steps, and am amazed to discover that there is nobody waiting. The woman at the top jerks away, and turns to hit a button. From seemingly nowhere, an old tune (Let Your Love Flow, by the Bellamy Brothers) , plays out loudly.
She gives me the nod and I throw myself down it. We go through a supermarket, through a city centre, through a library (I get stuck and have to squeak along, and all the little characters look up at me in irritation) and finally I get to the end.
"Thank you for riding the Barclaycard slide! Please come again soon. Bye-bye now!" A fake, Barbie-like voice comes through the speakers as I leap off the slide.
"That was so awesome!"
