So I've been looking through some poetry that I have written for an English class in college a while back, and I came across this one. I had actually written this poem when I was going through a rough time, and I realized how I needed Jesus everyday in every aspect of my life. After reading over this one, I suddenly had the idea to create a collection of poetry revolving around God's love for us. Although so far, this is the only one I have, but there are more to come. Be My Light In Darkness:
Dear Savior, be my light;
For I can't bear to wander through this starless eventide.
I need you as I push on towards my end.
As dimness reigns, I slowly begin to lose sight.
Diminishing alongside my mangled pride.
So guide me by the hand, precious friend.
Lord, be my light;
As I carry myself through this tide.
For you make my darkness fade, and I see
the luster of the end.
