Cub
And X-man: the movie fan fiction
Summary: Five years after the movie, an unknown mutant couple has to abandon their mutant child. Only this child is little different from the rest of the mutants.....
1 Prologue
The 24-month-old babe squirmed around in the blanket. His mother looked down at him, her orange eyes wet with tears for her firstborn son.
"Oh my little Tiger, it wasn't meant to be like this!" she wept.
The taller male mutant put an arm around her shoulder.
"Shhhh. Our son will be fine. Look, he is strong already!" the mutant gestured to his only son, who was gripping a can he had found and smashing it to a pulp.
The female mutant nodded tearfully. She placed the small child on the stone steps of the school. She rang the buzzer and hurried away from the baby with her mate.
Between the time it took for Cyclops to answer he gate, and the parents leaving, the two-year-old baby crawled away into the bushes, growling softly like a baby animal.
Cyclops opened the gate.
"Yes?" he looked around. He could see the back of a car driving away. He looked down and saw the baby blanket. He picked it up, searching once more for anyone.
In the bushes, the toddler's ears pricked up, and he scuttled away, leaving only faint tracks in the soft white snow.
