When Demyx was stressed, he made music.
He liked the way the melodies would wash over him, the way the harmonies would dance in the background, the way it all made him feel. It calmed him. And Demyx needed an awful lot of calming lately.
Particularly when it came to a certain slate-haired Nobody.
Who, Demyx reminded himself, I'm going on a mission with. A real mission. Don't screw up and try and jump him or something, dumbass.
Zexion pinned him to the wall, his soft lips brushing the blond's. Demyx could feel an almost liquid thrill run across his skin, like ice water mixing with molten sunlight, and this was so different from the cold schemer he had always known, and oh, god, but Zexion was touching him right there and it felt good and his mind was flooded with broken fragments of songs and sunsets and --
They were late.
It wasn't Demyx's fault, exactly. Zexion had started it. Really. Truly.
He tried to tell the Superior that, that it was Zexion and not him, but Xemnas had just given him a "no-details-please" look and muttered something incoherent under his breath. Demyx thought that was the end of it. Obviously, it wasn't, because Xemnas was standing in the doorway of his room and --
"Are you even listening, Nine?" the elder Nobody snapped, a hint of something that could almost have been anger in his voice.
"Um." Demyx gulped. "Yes?"
"I'll repeat myself one last time. If you can't keep your relationship with Six from disrupting a simple reconnassaince mission, steps will be taken," hissed Xemnas. The blond nodded, and Xemnas left. Number IX kicked the door closed behind him and leaned against it with a sigh.
Demyx locked the door and went for his sitar.
A/N: Review. Tell me what I did right (if anything). Tell me what I screwed up on. Give me advice. Just review, please. Or I'll steal your Demyx plushie.
