First songfic, DON'T LAUGH AT ME, PLEASE! Just a song my friend sent me. You might remember it from the scene in "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" when Lena jumps in with Kostos, in Greece? Yeah...
I don't own this stuff
Don't own a word
Please don't sue
Or I'll RIP YOUR BLOODY LEGS OFF.
Can I ask you a question please
Promise you won't laugh at me
Durza coughed. All the dust and grim in the dungeons was affecting his lungs at last. Not like i didn't see that coming... He pushed the men guarding the door away, and kept moving forward. There was the elf, Arya, unconcious in her cell. He almost broke his stride when he saw her...her pale skin set aglow by the sliver of moonlight shining through the bars of her window...ebony hair obscuring her sharp features...pointed ears barely noticable... Quickly looking both ways to make sure no one was watching, he stopped and stared at her beautiful face.
Honestly I'm standing here
Afraid I'll be betrayed.
He bit his lip as she groaned, and blood appeared on her once-white tunic. She couldn't even escape pain in her sleep. Usually, as would happen with any other captive, he would take this as a sign that he was doing a good job, and would grin at the sight of her crimson pain, but this was different...he wanted to stop her pain. To just wrap his arms around her, and stop her silent tears.
As twisted as it seems, I only fear love when it's in my dreams
So let the morning light come in and let the darkness fade away
With a sigh, he clicked his fingers and guards came rushing forward. "Take her to the usual cell," he ordered, "But this time, don't strap her down." If they thought his orders odd, they didn't show it, instead dragged the elf out, her bare feet scraping along the stone. The king was going to have Durza's head when he found out his plan...
Can you turn my black roses red?
Can you turn my black roses red?
"Leave. Go far away. I don't care where, but don't be near me." Durza snarled at the soldiers who awaited him, at the cell where he tortured the elf everyday. They bowed and hurried out of the room. As they cleared, he saw Arya, wide eyed and awake. She shivered slightly, and clenched her eyes shut as Durza stepped through the doorway. "Arya."
Drowning in my loneliness
How long must I hold my breath
She said nothing, as much as he expected, but he felt her emotions flicker; she hadn't known he knew her name. He stepped forward a few more paces, but instead of picking up a whip or a branding-iron, he simply sat on the table at her feet. She closed her eyes again, and tried to calm herself by breathing through her nose. It didn't work.
So much emptiness inside I could fill the deepest sea
I reach to the sky as the moon looks on
"Arya," he said again, this time hardly more than a whisper. He brushed a stray hair behind her ear, and placed a hand on her forehead. She trembled, obviously predicting the worst. "Fear is not the absence of courage, Arya."
One last year has come and gone
It's time to let your love rain down on me
"Waise heill!" He chanted, his glowing orange hand hovering a few inches from her brow. She gasped as energy flowed through her again, and her body instantly loosened it's firm clench around her bones. Inside her head was still warm and fuzzy from the poison and the drug, but other than that... She could have kissed the Shade for his kindness. In her mingled mind, she didn't think twice about why he could be healing her. She was only thankful. "Durza..." She said, the first words he heard uttered from her rose-petal lips.
Can you turn my black roses red?
Cause I'm feelin' like I'll blame it on love
"Arya...you're free now. Go back to your people, and never let the Empire seek you again." He whispered, crying slightly. He didn't want her to go, but he didn't want to be forced to hurt her more... "I'll remove the poison and drugs, but then you must leave." She sat up, and kissed him quickly on the cheek. "Thank you, Durza. Your kindness makes up for your dark side." She smiled.
Can you turn my black roses red?
Cause I'm feelin' like I'll blame in on love
I'm feeling like I'll blame it on love
Arya rode her horse as fast as possible, but she couldn't get Durza out of her newly-awkened mind. I'll find you Durza...you aren't meant to be stuck doing the kings bidding. I'll pay you back for your kindness.
Please review for me! If you haven't heard the song-"Black Roses Red" by Alana Grace- I suggest you do. It's a beauutiful piece of work.
Lots of luck, and an extra duck!
