Dislaimer: Not J. K. Rowling.
Written for a gift - my first and last piece of Snape/Hermione writing!
Snape
The dungeons are cold
The lights are dim
But there's nothing so grim as him,
Snape.
Entered the room
Just like a great bat
Glared at his pupils in wrath, and spat –
"Get out your books
Page thirty-three
I want this potion done perfectly."
End of the class
Room's full of smoke
Neville is green and likely to choke.
"You dim-witted louts!
Class dismissed,
Don't know why I put up with this."
But Snape tells a lie
This class is the best
He likes to teach them more than the rest.
For our hero
Has fallen in love
Snape has a heart? Heavens above.
Who is the girl?
She's no stranger
He's taught her for years, Hermione Granger.
Lucky for Snape
She likes him too
At the end of class, she knows what to do.
It is with care
And intention that
She breaks a vial that held bile of a rat.
Harry and Ron
Come to her aid
But she says, "Go without me," and waves them away.
"I'll stay behind
"Must fix the vial
And need to clean up this big pool of bile."
Alone at last!
And able to kiss
Snape and Hermione now are in bliss
This is what
They've waited for
Romantic time behind store-cupboard doors
If anyone knew
They'd all be agape
Not Hermione Granger and Severus Snape…
