Chapter 1
"It's over, Gil", were the last word he heard before Catherine vanished out of the breakroom.
She went straight to her office, grabbed her remaining already packed things and left. Then she drove to her house, picked up Lindsey and her stuff and said goodbye to her mother.
She already found a nice family who was about to buy her house.
Everything went great. Great, yeah, but she's still pissed at Gil. Well she'll forget him one day. He's just another someone even if she thought he'd be different. She was wrong.
Lindsey and her rushed to the airport and got their flight at the right time. As they were seated in the airplane and Lindsey saw a single tear on her mom's cheek she said, "we'll make it through that mom. It will take some time but we'll make it."
Catherine's face lit up, "that's what I told you a thousand times before when you weren't about to listen to me." They both started to laugh.
A few minutes later they flew above the desert of Nevada. Away from their home to find a new one.
