It's summer and I usually stay up all night, so I thought I'd make a new fanfiction. Please note that I do not own Twilight or any of it's characters. That is Stephenie Meyer's territory. Anyway, I'm not sure where this story will go, so suggestions and comments are, and always will be welcome. I just re-read Twilight, and it sparked my inspiration to write again, lol. So, I hope you enjoy, and here is chapter one. (Note that this story takes place after New Moon..I guess, it doesn't really matter..Oo).
Amerie
E.P.O.V.
The gentle breeze ruffled her beautiful brown hair as I pulled her face towards mine and kissed her warm, soft lips. When I released her, she looked up at me, her eyes puzzled, questioning. I chuckled.
"Do I have to have a reason to kiss you?" I asked her teasingly. She smiled, and her heartbeat started to slow back down to normal. I loved how my touch could nearly give her a stroke, and then again, I didn't.
"I'm not going." She said firmly. I sighed. It was the day of our graduation, and, though I could tell she was anxious to remind me of my promise to change her after graduation, she was mortified at the fact that Alice saw her trip on stage in front of everyone, while receiving her diploma.
"You have to go," I reminded her, "Or else I can't fulfill my promiseā¦" I let myself trail off and watched her face carefully as that sunk in. She sighed.
"Go get your leg cast out from under your bed, Bella." I had an idea. She hesitated, sensing this. I sighed again, "Just do it."
She took my hand cautiously and led me from the kitchen, where we were, and up the stairs and into her room. She ducked underneath her bed for a brief moment and emerged with the cast that held her broken leg after James' attack.
"Edward, what's this abo-" she broke off in mid-sentence, and I watched as she slowly caught on to my plan. I grinned.
"You want me to fake a broken leg?!" I couldn't tell if she was furious, or extremely happy with me.
"And I can help you walk up to get your diploma, making sure you don't fall." I scrutinized her face again, and she was most definitely extremely happy with me.
She laughed beautifully, and wrapped her arms around my neck and squeezed. Her laugh is so magical.
"So, will you go now?" I asked, already knowing her answer.
"Of course." She smiled warmly at me.
Just then, Alice skipped up to us and kissed Bella on the cheek lightly, and turned to me.
"Eddwwaarrdd," she said in a very musical voice, almost as if she were singing.
"Yes, Alice?"
"I saw what you're up to! And I have to tell you that it's brilliant! She isn't going to fall. She's going to be great." She turned to Bella. "Bella! I'm so glad you're not going to fall! Good luck!" She winked, and skipped down the stairs.
I heard Charlie's thoughts coming from downstairs in the living room, and sensed that Alice was in the only chair in the room.
My Bella is GRADUATING! This is so exciting! I sure hope the poor girl doesn't fall. It's just like her to do something like that. Alice promised it was taken care of though and I trust her. She's such a lovely girl. Edward-
I tuned myself out of his thoughts at the sound of my name. Whatever he had to say about me, I didn't want to hear it. Not now, at least.
I put my hands on either side of Bella's face, and smiled as her cheeks turned crimson and her heartbeat quickened.
"I love you," I said, as I rested my lips on hers again.
To my disappointment, she pulled back a little too soon, and smiled at me.
"We'll be late."
"Oh, right," I murmured and twined my fingers in hers and headed for the door.
