A/N: I've been struck with writer's block so I'm trying out a new pairing and a new writing style. Unbeta'd.

Lucy wants to start over, but she's not sure how or even why. She wants to jump out of her own skin to see how she can be better, prettier, smarter, more interesting, and someone who isn't herself.

She can't just kill whatever she hates inside of herself because she's not sure the consequences of the blood that drips out of where she wants change. She doesn't like messes she can't control so this idea is respectfully swept away.

Maybe she could change and find something within herself she thinks she likes. Disappearing would be easier.

Lorcan knows when Lucy disappears within herself, he always knows when she's disappeared within herself and, no matter how long it takes, he still waits for her to bloom into the girl he always liked.

Lorcan thinks he's too calmly patient, too readily available. He beats himself mentally for being he tries to hard to capture Lucy's interest but he doesn't particularly care, Lorcan has all the time in the world to chase her.

He's always there to pick up her pieces and to clean up her messes and maybe he just wants to stop trying and start loving.

"You know you can tell me what's wrong, Lucy."

"There's nothing wrong and there's nothing to tell you."

"Are you sure?"

"Very."

"I can tell there's something wrong. I can see it in your eyes."

The sigh gives her away.

"Lucy…"

"What?"

"I care about you." I love you.

"I know."
