It's been two years since Jace and I were married and we are now living in the Herondale Manor in Idris. We had thought that it was strange at first, living in a house that was passed down through the family, even though we knew little about it. We fixed it up so it looks cozy and not so empty, with its bare walls and little furniture.

At first it seemed cold, with only the two of us living in such a big place, but everyday we fixed up some part of the manor so it evenually became firmiliar to us, like we had been living there for years, with the creaking of the floors, and the way the land looked outside the bedroom window with it's swooping hills and low-set valleys.

When we first moved in, Jace gave me the job of picking our bedroom. The one that had two large bay windows and looked out onto Lake Lyn and the city of Alicante drew the most interese in me, because it reminded me of the view outside my bedroom window in the Institue.

Jace had been going through the manor top to bottom, trying to find a connection to his parents. In one of the closets on the second floor, he found what looked liked to be a chest filled with Herondale family heirlooms-two diaries from 1878, one with the name of W. Herondale on it, and another with C. Herondale on it. Also, a couple of pictures with a boy with dark hair with his arm around a girl with slightly lighter hair then him.

That morning I woke to an empty bed and the smell of eggs and bacon. I slowly got out of bed making my way to the door, when I felt sick and ran to the bathroom. When I was done I relized Jace was knocking on the door asking if I was okay.

"Yep. Just a bathroom emergency. It's that time of the month."

"Okay, just telling me if you need anything."

"Thanks," Wait. That time of the month? It hasn't been that time for a while...

Sorry it's really short :/...This is my first time really writing anything on my own so constructive critism is welcome! If you have any names for children that would help a lot!
Review if you know what Simon's shirt says!
