A BEETHOVEN NUT'S JEALOUSY
A/N: This is a small one shot that goes out to my dear friends, funnyguy200 and Marisa Lee and Broadwaygirl93
Twelve year old Lucy van Pelt was on her way to Schroeder's house yet again. She loved him, she really did, but sadly he bored her as well. It's just I have been chasing him for so long. I need a new challenge fast!
"Hmmmm," murmured Lucy. Next door, there seemed to be a flurry of movement, way different than normal. There were men, women and children on the front lawn, all seemed to be extremely busy carrying boxes, lifting furniture, or-in the case of the children- playing in and around everyone else. Alone, sitting by the rose bushes, sat a young blond boy, no older than she was. He strummed an obviously unhooked electric guitar. Lucy smiled.
"Hello there," smiled Lucy.
The boy lifted his head and smiled. "Hi." The boy went back to strumming.
Lucy tried a different tactic. "I'm Lucy. And you are?"
Realizing the girl was not going to give up, the boy said, "I am Michael."
Lucy sighed. Michael had a lovely voice, already deeper than Schroeder's or Charlie Brown's. "That's pretty cool. What kind of music is that?"
"Rock. In this case a little Led Zepplin," he answered.
"Ooooooo, I love Led Zepplin," said Lucy. Of course she had no idea who or what Led Zepplin was; she'd have to ask Sally.
"No kidding? Well you have great taste sister," smiled Michael. Not only did have a killer smile, but his eyes were a dark chocolate. Lucy's heart melted
A few houses over, Charlie Brown noticed Lucy and a new blond kid and was shocked. Am I seeing things or is Lucy making a move on this new guy? "Does Schroeder even know we have new neighbors," whispered Charlie Brown.
Charlie ran to Schroeder's house, finding the young pianist twiddling his thumbs and rocking back and forth. He had a look on his face Charlie couldn't determine.
"Oh hey Charlie brown, w-what's up? Have you seen Lucy today by any chance?"
Charlie has never seen his friend so freaked. "Yeah I saw her. She was getting to know the new kid down the block. You know, he plays a guitar."
. Schroeder paled, and didn't move a muscle. He then got up and looked at Charlie in the eyes. "I will be right back!" , sneered Schroeder. He marched straight past Charlie, out the door, and down the street towards Lucy's house. This is not going to go well, thought Charlie. He sprinted down the street, racing to catch up.
."Look Schroeder I know you're in a mood right now, but look on the bright side," said Charlie
"What bright side?" sneered Schroeder.
"You don't have to put up with Lucy anymore." said Charlie.
Schroeder ignored his friend. A few moments later Lucy was being dragged away by the ear from Michael's house.
"Schroeder! What's your deal, you overgrown blockhead?" Shouted Lucy
"Shut up," said Schroeder.
Lucy secretly smiled to herself and looked at him. "I never knew you were the jealous type, Schroeder"
Schroeder glared at Lucy in anger making her nervous. Geez and they think I am scary thought Lucy.
They got back to his piano and Schroeder dropped her in her usual spot. Charlie, who had followed them, shrugged. Lucy gave him her own shrug in answer.
"I will never understand boys as long as I live," said Lucy .Charlie nodded and slowly walked from Schroeder's house hearing a "klunk!"
I will never know what she sees in him thought Charlie as he slowly made his way back to Michael's house. I wonder if he knows any Zepplin.
