The Job

Hello, hope you are having a good day. This is a one-shot for the episode the Job. It's where Jamie goes to see Jack and talk to him.

Jamie was in his apartment when he heard about what happened to his brother's family. When he heard about Jack, he knew that he had to do something. The next day when he was watching TV, he got a call from Linda.

"Hey, Linda, is something wrong?" Jamie asked.

"Jamie, can you do me a favor?" Linda replied.

"Yeah, sure. Whatever you need."

"Can you pick Jack up from school? The school nurse called me and said that he wanted to come home and I'm at the store."

"Of course. I'll do it and I'll bring him here till you come pick him up."

"Thank you, Jamie."

Then Linda hung up. Jamie got in his car and went to get Jack. When he got to the school and got Jack, he drove back to his apartment. He kept looking at Jack who was crying.

"Are you ok, Jack?" Jamie questioned.

"Yeah. I'm fine." Jack mumbled. Jamie sighed. When they got back to Jamie's apartment, they went into Jamie's apartment. Jack sat on the couch and did his homework.

"Do you want anything to eat or drink?"

"No, thanks."

"Do want anything?"

"No."

"You can watch TV if you want."

"No thanks."

Jamie got two cups of waters and put one in front of Jack.

"Are you sure that you're ok?" Jamie sighed.

"I'm fine, Uncle Jamie."

"No you're not, Jack. I know you're not. I know what you've been through. I understand."

"No, you don't."

"Yes, I do. When I was 10, dad and I were going to visit grandpa. On the way there, a man ran out in front of the car. Dad stopped in time but the man had a gun. Dad told me to be careful. He went out to stop the guy but the guy shot his gun twice. One missed me by an inch, the other one hit me in the shoulder. I was so scared and traumatized. You want to know what he did?"

"What?"

"He let me use see his gun and hold it. Maybe you should ask your dad about that."

"Ok."

"Come here."

So Jack did as he was told. Jamie hugged Jack and let Jack cry on his shoulder.

"Do you want to watch a movie or something?" Jamie wondered.

"Can we watch The Voyage of the Dawn Treader?" Jack asked.

"Sure. The Chronicles of Narnia are always good."

"Yeah."

So they watch The Voyage of the Dawn Treader till Linda got there. Jack was still upset about what had happened but he knew that Jamie understood.
