"There is a 76% chance that the laptop's hard drive is to fail today." Renji told him as-a-matter-of-factly. "It would be your best interest to consider storing your files for backup."
Slender fingers continued tapping away at the keyboard.
Renji added. With emphasis. "Especially for the essay you're working on currently."
No change. Still the furious keyboard tap dance.
The Data Master shrugged, saying no more. He continued his own work by hand, his pen point jogging from one line to another steadily.
Twenty-three minutes later, a gasp, followed by a groan, long and dragged out, interrupted the silence.
When he looked up from his work to stare into his companion's black void of a computer screen, he only dropped.
"I warned you."
No sympathy spared.
Blah:
Rest in peace, my laptop...and please, take my hard work, blood and tears with you to your grave. I don't mind. I don't mind at all.
