The Deepest Fall
A dying heart of faltering light
Broken, feeble, once powerful wings
Spiralling downwards, shedding feathers like snow
The speed of a comet, struck down from glory by some unspeakable sin
Golden blood flowing through the fingers of one too wounded too stop it
Twisted and buffeted by the eddies of winds seeking to tear apart one who had aspired to become a god
The sin changing him which was once as beautiful as the loyal ones grouped in His shadow
The white feathers having broken free of one no longer holy enough to wear them, beginning to grow back black as the twilight through which they fell
The changing body looking at the world with new eyes for those brief moments, brow heavy with magnificent horns edged with a dying spark ready to burst into flame
The eyes suddenly burning with new strength and purpose struggled desperately to break free of His hand, forcing him down towards those who had broken the Law that was weaved into their very being
With an demonic shriek the Betrayer was forced down through the Earth as with so many others of his brethren
Bursting through to his prison a roar poured from his throat
A roar echoed by the Legion
