Truth or Dare: John Finds Love

Summary: This is in response to the Truth or Dare challenge proposed by ladygris.
John groaned as he walked up the stairs to Elizabeth's office. 'Why had Rodney told Teyla about Truth or Dare?' he thought to himself. At the time, he had thought it was a pretty safe game for team night. Rodney couldn't hurt himself, Ronon would behave and Teyla thought it would be interesting. But they had all set up him. Completely set him up and he had walked straight into yet. Still it wasn't that large a secret that he liked Elizabeth.
'Still since when had Rodney gotten so perceptive?' Teyla he could understand but Rodney? 'Ok, focus John, we're there.' With a swish the door to her office slid open.
"Hey Elizabeth!" He said with a huge smile on his face.
"John. What kind of crazy mission do you want me to authorize now?"
"Well you see Elizabeth, from the first time I met you I've had feelings for you." He gulped, 'What if she says no?'
"What kind of feelings, John?"
'Was that a wink?' "These kind…" and with that he leaned over and gently kissed her.
When they broke apart a little later, both breathless she said, "You know John… I think I feel the same way you do!"
"Want to have dinner tonight?" 'Please say yes, please say yes!' he thought to himself.
"I wouldn't have it any other way!"
By that evening, pictures of their first kiss were already all over the Atlantis network; Rodney had set them as the background on every single monitor on base. And the best part was that neither John nor Elizabeth cared; after all, they had what they wanted! Rodney could have his fun too!
