Because I really love this furball! XD

I haven't copyright on Okami.

I took a deep breath and let it out in a sigh.

Issun had finally managed to talk me into getting some rest and let him sleep… While I was at a standstill.

I have a feeling he sleeps most of the time. Not that I begrudge him his rest, he's only mortal, and a tiny one at that.

Tiny mortals need more rest, I think.

I sigh again. While I need little rest and less sleep, it is actually really nice to give my paws a rest.

My paws…

I suppose it's odd that Amaterasu no omikami runs around the countryside in the body of a wolf… Albeit a beautiful one, if you will allow my vanity.

But I've always liked wolves, see, that's why most of the dogs here has many features in common with them.

That ghost in Kusa village, Yatsu, had worried me by saying he saw a small man and a beautiful maiden. While it is true that I am normally a beautiful maiden (considering my brethren and sisters tempted me out off my cave using my reflection, I think it's not a too vain statement), there is a reason I have appeared in this shape.

"Oi, furball, stop sighing so much! Or is something the matter?" Issun jumps from the crown on my head to land on my muzzle. It stings a little when he does that, but I accept it. I love him, after all.

I sent him a small canine smile, assuring him I was fine. Although the tiny artist could understand most animals, I spoke a language somewhat different from most animals. Mine had suffered a heavy influence by the language spoken on the Celestial Plains.

He looked at me for a short while longer, searching my eyes for something I can't tell. "If you say so, Ammy," he finally consented. "Just promise to tell me if anything's off."

I barked my consent, wagging my tail slightly.

He nodded and jumped back onto my scalp, nestling down into my fur.

I do not claim to know every creature under my nurturing light, but the Poncles, like Issun, were especially mysterious.

Not loved any less, though.

I sighed for the fourth time that evening, deciding to allow myself the luxury of curling up by a pond in Sasa Sanctuary, letting my ears twitch to the rhythm of the bamboo hitting the pool and, finally, gave my eyelids permission to slide shut for me to take an extended nap.

Aww… I actually like this one. ^_^ I ought to replay this game sometime soon.

Please review and tell me what you liked/disliked.
