"What are you talking about?" Kurt arched an eyebrow.
From the screen,Blaine grinned. "Your eyes are like starlight now..."
"Blaine!" Kurt giggled, subconsciously covering his mouth to hide his small teeth.
"Really?"
"Tis the season!" Blaine grinned, running a hand through his untamed curls. He raised an eyebrow and dropped his voice. "And really...you're eyes are like starlight".
"And you're adorable," Blaine sighed dramaticly, leaning on his palm. "So come on."
"No."
"Come on, Kurt! You'll be amazing."
"Blaine..."
"Next grande non-fat mocha is on me?"
Kurt groaned. "Damn you." He took a deep breath. "I really can't stay..."
"But baby it's cold outside!" Blaine grinned.
"I've got to go away..."
"But baby it's cold outside!"
"This evening has..."
"What the hell?"
Kurt whipped around to find his stepbrother, Finn, in his doorway, accompanied by two of his lackerys...Puck and Karofsky.
Kurt blanched. "Finn! I..."
"Is that Anderson?" Finn snorted derisively.
Kurt glanced in horror at his laptop before slamming it shut. "No! I..."
"Someone has a crush on the gleek!" Puck lauhed.
"The guy with more hair gel than that stupid glee teacher?" Karofsky snickered.
Kurt flushed red as he pushed off his bed. "Get out!" He slammed it shut, sinking against it as their laughter rang through the hall.
"And that's for talking to my brother when you're not supposed to!"
Kurt tore through the crowd by the dumpdtars to see his stepbrother punch Blaine
square in the jaw, Puck laughing as he held him up and made him take it.
"FINN" Kurt screeched as he shoved his brother roughly into the side of the dumstar.
"What the hell is wrong with you!"
"Just keeping the order," Finn shrugged as he pushed Kurt away. "You know that they're not supposed to talk to us, Kurt. Anderson has to pay the price-"
He was cut off as Kurt slapped him, hard, across the face. He stared at Kurt in astonishment.
Kurt turned to Puck and Karofsky. "Let him go."
Karofsky rolled his eyes. "Like we're afraid of getting smacked by some sissy," He grabbed Blaine by the ankles.
"Don't you Dare..."
Too late. They launched him over the lid and into the trash.
The crowd cheered.
"See?" Puck laughed, egged on the applause. "this is how it's supposed to be...our kind out here and their kind in there."
Kurt didn't even have to think it through.
He put his foot on one of the rails of the container and launched himself over the edge, landing neatly next to his bruised friend.
"Kurt!" Blaine gasped. "What..?"
Kurt sighed, nestling into the crook of Blaine's neck and cuddling with him in the rancid garbage. "Shhh. I much prefer being in here than out there."
"Really?"
"Really."
Blaine smiled, wrapping an arm around his back. "Thank you."
Kurt smiled back, wrapping an arm around his cheast. "Anytime."
