Author notes: This little drabble/ficlet was written for the 3rd Mini Challenge over at ag_fics. The prompt was: "All I need is a miracle".
"Everything will be fine. Gwen is stronger than she looks."
Yet Arthur doesn't feel so reassured, as he paces up and down his study while Merlin watches on.
Arthur can remember when Gwen told him her news. He was overwhelmed with so many emotions – happiness, joy and a little bit of panic. What if he lost Guinevere just like his father lost his mother.
Please God, keep Gwen safe.Arthur finds himself praying.
Arthur hears another painful cry from their chambers. Finally it stops, and all he hears now is a piecing cry.
Arthur is holding the little bundle of joy while Gwen sleeps after a very long labour - 28 hours.
"See I told you everything would be fine…"
"Shut up Merlin!"
