Summary: The prince gazed at the sight of his home as they rowed away. How dare you, Lyon. How could you take me from my family? Can Lyon ever get the prince's trust back?
How Dare You, Lyon
"I'm not leaving without Lym!" The prince barely stopped from yelling. He just couldn't bring himself to keep safe, while his younger, unprotected sister stayed in the home they once thought was safe. How could he just leave her? How could they just leave her?
"I'm sorry, Prince." Lyon muttered before the prince felt a blow to his stomache area. His own body guard had taken him out. He fell to the floor without realizing what hit him.
He slowly shook himself awake a few minutes later. Feeling that he was on the sea by it's movements. The prince heard Lyon whisper her apologies to him. The prince jolted into a sitting position. Watching the downfall of his own home. A bright light came from within the palace, but you could tell from outside what the light was. It signified that his mother was dead.
The prince felt tears run down his smooth cheeks. His father must have died as well. Leaning back the prince let his snow white hair be a pillow as the others advised him to sleep. Nothing in his mind made him happy.
He wanted his mother.
He wanted his father.
He wanted his sister. All of them in here rather than him. Most of all...
The prince wanted to die. And in his moments of grief the prince turned to anger.
"How dare you, Lyon!" He shook himself away from her care. "How dare you take me away from my family!? My home! When I didn't want to leave! I hate you." The prince pushed himself away from his body guard.
Lyon stumbled after him, "But your Highness! I just did what was best for your upset sort of mind."
"Upset sort of mind! I was trying to protect my family what were you doing? Leaving like a coward!" The prince knew he was being selfish, but refused to let reason get to him, "I'll never forgive you, Lyon."
'Then prince... I'll show you how to forgive me.' Lyon thought as she vowed out loud. "As you wish your Highness, but I will always protect you. I'll always follow and be your faithful subject. I'll prove that what I did was necessary for the future."
His highness tried his best to ignore her for the rest of the boat ride. The prince even had to ignore his aunt and Georg too since they wouldn't stop pestering him to not be a brat.
Lyon stared good and hard at the prince when he wasn't looking. 'I'm sorry Prince. I know your family means the world to you. They meant the world to me too. I'll get you to forgive me.'
And thus was the start of the prince's and his bodyguards adventure together. Though there is NO romance between them they go through the trials of friendship by losing trust, gaining that, going their seperate ways, and fighting at long last together again. The future chapters of this story will show those of you interested that exact thing.
