"It's You!"
Isadora slammed her locker closed and stormed down the hallway, her face burning. She was trudging along when she ran into someone, and was knocked to the floor. She looked up and saw Violet Baudelaire sticking her hand out towards Isadora. Isadora grabbed her hand and hoisted herself up off the floor, brushing the invisible dust off her black pants.
Violet peered closely at her face. Darn, Violet! She always knew when something was wrong!
"What's wrong, Iz?" Violet asked.
"Nothing… it's just that I heard this rumor that… well, you know… that Klaus liked someone." Isadora's usual pale face turned a deep scarlet.
Isadora had told Violet sometime ago that she thought she might be in love with Klaus. Violet, being as wise as she was, had told her that she doubted it was love, but she didn't doubt it could grow into something of the sort. But as wise as Violet was, Isadora still thought it was love.
Klaus was different from the all the other boys she knew.
Sure he was cute… she didn't' deny it. But it wasn't that which made Isadora so attracted to him. It wasn't that that made her think about him every minute of every day. He was smart, like really smart. He was always so nice to her, even when she was acting completely stupid. He always asked her if she was doing okay. And there had been numerous occasions when he'd been there for her when she just needed a shoulder to cry on. The list went on and on…
So if the way she felt wasn't love, she was excited to think that anything could feel better than how she felt when she was around Klaus.
Just his presence made her tremble… but in any amazingly satisfying kind of way.
"Oh, Iz…" said Violet quietly and few Isadora into a big hug. When they drew apart, Violet continued, "Well, maybe it's just rumors… You know, you could ask Klaus about it. If anyone knows it would definitely be him." Violet told her, of course, as always, offering a completely logical solution for the situation.
Isadora nodded.
"Thanks, Vi. Yeah, I will. Thanks for the advice, but I have to get to class." She said, and with a little wave she scurried down the hallway toward her last class- History; which was also Klaus' last period.
---
Isadora didn't get up the courage to talk to Klaus during class. Well… sure, they talked- but not about anything particularly important.
It took her until the end of the period, while she was walking down the hallway with him to bring up the only subject she really cared about at the moment.
"So, I heard." She said bluntly, knowing that this would inevitable promote conversation.
"Heard what?" he asked, squinting at her in the confused manner she'd grown to love so much.
"About the girl." she said frankly.
"Huh?" It appeared that he was now even more confused.
"The girl you like… someone said you liked some girl." Isadora said, starting to feel suddenly self-conscious.
"Girl… I don't like any girl…" Klaus said quietly, sounding suddenly shy himself.
Isadora felt confused, relieved, and as if her heart had been ripped out of her chest all at the same time. She nodded, blinking the tears out of her eyes.
"Yeah…" her voice trailed away, "Well, thanks for the clarification. But I gotta catch my bus." She said, and darted away into the crowd of noise school children.
"He watched her walk away, considering the pained expression on her face.
And into the crowd he whispered the truth:
"It's you, Isadora… it's you…"

So what did you think of it? No, no kissing or anything between the cute little couple, but I almost love the incomplete, wanting fics, more than I like they ones wehre they get together. I like the slightly bittersweet ones… yeah… okay… you know the drill, read and review!
I wish the world was quiet here,
