Ch 1. Quidditch & Sirius
Lyli was sitting in her room at # 8 Sunni's place. She was in her room at the Potters house looking at a mirror turning the knobs on the sides as if adjusting the magnification. She was smiling and laughing and thinking on what to do next.
'You mean you haven't heard about Quidditch? Oh my gosh. What has your father done to you?!' Lyli heard herself say from the mirror. It was a scene from the first time James had heard about Quidditch. Lyli had been his baby sitter at the time and had just come from a Quidditch game. James had noticed her limp into the kitchen to get a glass of milk.
Lyli turned the biggest knob toward her and the scene in the mirror changed a little. Lyli saw herself limp over to the fridge to get the milk. Then over to the cupboard to get a glass. She sat down next to the five year old James, and poured the milk into the glass.
'Lyli why are you limping?' James asked his eyes wide with worry.
'Oh it's nothing to worry little tyke,' Lyli said ruffling his already untidy black hair, 'I just got hit with a blugger playing Quidditch this afternoon.'
'What's Quidditch?' asked James innocently.
Lyli sprayed the little bit of milk she had just sipped up, out of her mouth, 'You mean you haven't heard about Quidditch? Oh my gosh. What has your father done to you?!'
James was giggling looking at his caretaker. An innocent little James, not the Marauding prankster she knew now.
'I'll have to talk to your father about that,' Lyli said in a playful, -your-dad's-in-trouble- way.
'So what's Quidditch?' James asked again his eyes wide with wonder.
'It's a rough game but if you play well enough you don't get hurt. And even if you do get hurt, it's worth it for how much fun you haveā¦'
Lyli tapped the mirror at the sound of Sirius's voice from outside her bedroom door, and it went blank of the old scene. Then she heard James's voice, witch had gotten a lot deeper since he first learned about Quidditch, "Come on you're the only one she hasn't been with and you're the most charming."
"Okay. Okay. I'll ask her, but if she says no, I'm not going to hear another word about her. Agreed?"
"huh. Agreed," Lyli heard James sigh.
