Steel-wrapped fists welded to
arms of iron-pressed muscle and sinew,
lavender flames spewing skyward
from emerald skin and feather-white cloak.
The clouds flee in terror.
Earth shrieks in pain.
The unseen God strikes the crusty mesas,
raising the valleys and laying low the mounds.
The demon bellows to winds
too afraid to answer back.
Stones float like soap bubbles,
shatter like crystal,
and are sifted into oblivion.
The great demon goes quiet.
The unseen God ceases his assault upon the Earth.
And all is still again.
